Use Silotree from your assistant
Silotree connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other assistants that speak MCP. Ask about your Score, the links worth adding with their sentences, broken links, or which posts a draft should link to. When you connect it with write access, the assistant can write links too, but only after it has shown you exactly which, and every batch can be undone.
Steps
Copy the connector address
The address is
https://silotree.io/api/mcp. It is also at the top of Account → Assistants and API in Silotree, with a Copy button.Add Silotree to your assistant

Other assistants that connect to remote MCP servers with OAuth work the same way: give them the address.
Sign in and choose what it may do
Your assistant opens a Silotree page. Sign in if you are not already, then choose Read only or Read, and write the links you confirm, and, if you have more than one site, All my sites or Only these. Press Connect and you are back in your assistant.
What you should see
Silotree shows in your assistant's list of connectors or tools, and in Silotree under Account → Assistants and API → Connected assistants.
Ask about your links
Ask in your own words. For example:
- “What is my Silotree Score, and what would raise it most?”
- “Which of my posts are unlinked? Show me the links that would fix it.”
- “Here is a post I am writing. Which of my posts should it link to?”
- “Are there broken links on my site?”
Each answer uses the same figures as the app and ends with a link to the matching screen. In Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code and other assistants that show apps, links to add appear as a card: each sentence with the linked words highlighted, what the links do for the post they point at, and Approve and Skip buttons. Your assistant may also offer ready-made starts such as Fix my internal links this week and Links for a draft.
Checking a draft finds two things: posts its own sentences could link to, and (when you give its title) posts that could link to it once it is published. The draft is not saved.
Confirm before anything is written
With write access, the assistant first previews a batch: every link it would write, in its sentence. It can only write that exact list, within ten minutes of the preview, and only after you say yes. Where your assistant supports it, Silotree also asks you directly, and in the card you press Write yourself.
Writing follows your plan, as in the app: the free plan writes its first 3 links, paid plans write as many as you approve. Each batch shows in History with the assistant's name, and can be undone from there, from the card, or by asking the assistant. See write and undo batches.
In Account → Assistants and API, each connected assistant shows what it may do, which sites it sees, and what it did lately. Disconnect ends its access at once. To change what it may do, disconnect it and connect it again.
If it doesn’t work
- The assistant says the connection failed
Check the address is exactly
https://silotree.io/api/mcp, then add the connector again. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an owner has to add custom connectors first.- It says the site is not connected to WordPress
Reading works without WordPress; writing needs the plugin. See connecting WordPress.
- It cannot see a site
The connection covers only the sites you chose. Disconnect it in Account → Assistants and API and connect again with that site ticked, or with All my sites.
Questions
Can the assistant change my posts without asking?
No. Writing takes two steps: the assistant first previews the batch, which lists every link with its sentence, and can write only that exact list, within ten minutes, after you say yes. Where the assistant supports it, Silotree also asks you itself before writing. Every batch is labelled with the assistant’s name in History and can be undone in one click.
Which plans can use it?
Every plan, including Free. Reading works on all of them. Writing follows the same rules as the app: the free plan writes its first three links, paid plans write as many as you approve.
Does the assistant see all my sites?
Only the ones you allow. When you connect, choose All my sites or pick some. You can see and end each connection in Account → Assistants and API.
Does Silotree keep the drafts I check?
No. A draft sent to Links for a draft is read, answered and dropped. Nothing is saved and nothing is written.
Is my password shared with the assistant?
Never. You sign in on silotree.io, and the assistant gets a token that only does what you allowed. Disconnecting it in Account → Assistants and API ends that token at once.
