Approve strong matches automatically after each scan
If you approve every strong match anyway, Silotree can do that part for you. After each scan it marks the surest links approved, and they wait for you in Links → To add. It never writes them: your posts change only when you press Write to WordPress. It is on every paid plan and during the trial, and off until you turn it on.
Steps
Turn it on in Site settings → Automation
In Silotree, open Site settings at the foot of the sidebar and go to Automation. Turn on Auto-approve links with a strong match. There is no preview to confirm; it says On. Strong matches are approved after each scan. Nothing is written until you press Write. Links already waiting are not approved there and then: the first approvals come when your next scan ends.
From then on, at the end of every scan (the weekly one, one you start with Re-scan, any of them), each link waiting in Links → To add that the Strong match filter shows is marked approved, as if you had pressed Approve: the same test, so its words must name the linked post, and where the AI model has scored the link its score decides. There is no limit on how many. Links you skipped are left skipped, checks on links you already have are never approved, and neither are links held for a page you reserved in Write next, or new-post links while suggesting them is off. Links suggested the moment a post is published (see link a new post) are approved only when a second check by the AI model is sure of both the link and its words.
Check what it approved in Links → To add
Open Links → To add. The bar along the foot counts what is approved and waiting, and Review list shows each link: the words, the post it goes in and the post it points to. Press Remove on any you don’t want and it goes back to waiting, but the next scan approves it again. To keep a link out for good, skip it in the list of links instead.
Write them when the list is right
Press Write to WordPress when the list is right. Only then does anything change on your site: the links go in as one batch, with a copy of each post kept first, and the batch is listed on Links → Written with an undo (see write and undo batches).
Turn it off
Turn the switch off in Site settings → Automation. It says Off. Every link waits for you. Links it approved before stay approved; remove them from the Review list if you would rather decide on them yourself. Nothing already written is touched.
How it differs from weekly writing
The switch above it, Write strong matches every week, is a different thing. Auto-approve makes decisions and leaves the writing to you; weekly writing puts links into your posts.
| Item | Auto-approve strong matches | Weekly writing |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Marks links approved | Writes links into your posts |
| Changes your site | No, not until you press Write to WordPress | Yes, through the same path as Write |
| When | After every scan | After the weekly scan Silotree runs by itself, at most once a week |
| How many | Every link that clears the bar | Up to 10 a week, no more than 2 in one post |
| Turning it on | No preview; the first approvals come at the end of the next scan | Shows the links it would write, then asks you to confirm |
| Needs WordPress connected | No (writing them later does) | Yes |
| Taking it back | Remove links from the Review list | Undo the week from the email or Links → Written |
You can turn on either, both or neither. With both on, weekly writing can write links that auto-approve approved, as long as they pass its own rules; the rest stay approved for you to write.
What you should see
After each scan, the bar on Links → To add already counts the strong matches as approved, and nothing is in your posts until you press Write to WordPress.
If it doesn’t work
- The switch can’t be turned on
It is on every paid plan and during the trial; on the free plan, and once the trial has ended, it is off and says On every paid plan. Approving by hand is always free. Approving a link yourself, or every strong match at once with Approve all on Links → To add, is free on every plan.
- Nothing was approved after a scan
No waiting link was a strong match, or every one that was had already been approved or skipped. The switch only looks at links still waiting when a scan ends, and only while the plan includes it: your choice is kept on the free plan, but nothing is approved by it.
Questions
Does it write links into my posts?
No. It only approves them. Nothing changes on your site until you press Write to WordPress on Links → To add. Weekly writing is the switch that writes.
Which links does it approve?
The links waiting in Links → To add that the Strong match filter shows, after every scan, with no limit. Never a link you skipped, a check on a link you already have, or a link held for a page you reserved.
Is it the same as the Strong match filter?
Yes. Auto-approve uses the same test as the filter: the words must name the linked post well enough, and the AI model's own score decides where it gave one. You see every link it approved in the Review list before anything is written.
Can I undo what it approved?
Yes. Press Remove on a link in the Review list and it goes back to waiting, though the next scan approves it again. Skip a link to keep it out. Turning the switch off leaves links it already approved as they are.
