Your old recipes can still bring readers in.
Silotree finds the recipes nothing links to and suggests links from recipes you already wrote. You approve them from a weekly email — about ten minutes a week — and nothing goes near your recipe cards.

of your recipes show up for “easy banana bread”. None of them wins, because your own site does not say which one is the answer.

Link the other three to the 2019 post from inside the writing, and your own site finally says which recipe is the answer — instead of leaving the search to split four ways.

Your Christmas recipes are not broken in June, they are dormant. Posts slipping are shown with their Search Console numbers so you can tell a season from a real decline; year-on-year comparison is on the roadmap.
You wrote the same recipe four times in five years
Nobody plans that. It happens because banana bread was worth writing in 2019 and again each time you found a better method. The four now split the search between positions 9 and 38, because your own site never says which one is the answer — and the fix is about links rather than rewriting: one recipe owns the search, and the rest point at it.
Three things a general linking tool misses here
Category pages carrying two hundred links
An archive listing every dessert passes almost nothing to any of them. It is navigation, and counting it as a link is why most tools think a stranded recipe is well connected. Every count here ignores it.
Flag the over-linked hubs, and count only the links inside your writing when scoring anything — so a category page listing two hundred recipes stops being read as two hundred endorsements.
Print and card duplicates
Recipe plugins publish printable versions and cards that look like separate pages. They dilute the original and are invisible to anything counting URLs rather than reading them.
Treat recipe cards from WP Recipe Maker, Tasty Recipes and Create as protected, and write links only in your intro and notes — never inside the card, and never on a print URL.
A Christmas recipe in June is not failing
Your Christmas recipes in June are dormant, not dying. A tool that flags it as decline every summer has taught you to ignore its warnings by August.
Show the search data behind every dip, so a Christmas recipe in June reads as dormant rather than broken. A like-for-like comparison with the same weeks last year is on the roadmap, and we will not claim it until it ships.
If your recipes are on a page builder we refuse to write to
Divi and Beaver Builder markup is not something we will edit, because we cannot guarantee putting it back. You would get the whole audit and none of the writing, which for a recipe archive is half the value.
Before you run it
Will it merge my duplicate recipes?
No. It tells you which two URLs the same query returns and suggests the gentler move first — link the weaker at the stronger and see whether that settles it. Two recipes answering one query is sometimes a method and a review, both legitimately matching, and a tool that confidently said merge would be wrong often enough to lose trust.
Does it understand recipe schema?
It never writes inside recipe cards from WP Recipe Maker, Tasty Recipes or Create by Mediavine — those are protected, and printable versions are skipped by the crawl. It does not write or repair schema; keep your recipe plugin for that.
How long does a two-thousand-recipe archive take?
A few minutes on a small archive, about fifteen for two thousand recipes, and the audit is free and complete. Adding the links by hand afterwards is the part that takes an afternoon; with Silotree you approve a few from the weekly email, and your first 10 are written free.
